Bruno Mars Performs Live At The Apollo For TV Special

Bruno Mars is bringing his 24K magic at the Apollo Theater for a primetime special for CBS. The singer is also the executive producer along with Ben Winston. “Bruno Mars: 24K Magic Live at the Appollo” will also feature the singer walking the streets of Harlem.
Winston says that Bruno Mars is the greatest performer in the world and to produce his first television special is an honor. Mars is a multiple Grammy winner and the first artist to have two songs spend 24 or more weeks in the Billboard Hot 100 top 5 with “That’s What I Like” and “Uptown Funk.”
The hour-long special with continue taping footage throughout the coming weeks. Mars taped the show with his Hooligans at a secret show on Sunday.

“Bruno Mars: 24K Magic Live at the Apollo” special will feature never-before-seen stage performances. As well as the singer walking the streets of Harlem. Viewers will be treated to clips of Mars visiting, singing and entertaining locals.
The special promises that the scenes at Harlem will be exciting, intimate, must-see moments. It will be exciting to see the singer walk the streets that help shape the culture of music. It is the root of jazz, R&B, and Hip-hop with artists such as Big L, and Kurtis Blow growing up in Harlem.
Bruno Mars like any artist respects the tradition and history of both Harlem and the Apollo Theater.
Mars will be joining the ranks of other performers who graced the Apollo theater. Artists who performed at the Apollo Theater include Billie Holiday, Pearl Bailey, Sammy Davis Jr., James Brown and Diana Ross to name a few.

Not The First Television Performance For Bruno Mars

According to Jack Sussman, Executive Vice president, Specials, Music and Live Events, CBS entertainment Bruno Mars is the very definition of event television.
Mars is no stranger to performing live on Television.
Aside from the TV special, Mars has performed for a large television audience before. He performed at two Super Bowl halftime appearances. As well performing three times on Saturday Night Live. With one instance he was both the musical guest and host.
“Bruno Mars: 24K Magic Live at the Apollo” will air on November 29.
