‘Disney Family Singalong 2:’ Katy Perry, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson Join Lineup

The lineup for Disney Family Singalong 2 is looking absolutely more magical than ever!

ABC Disney Family Singalong: Volume 2 has added a second wave of performers. Airing this Sunday from 7 to 8 pm, the event will also feature John Legend, Katy Perry, Jennifer Hudson, and The Muppets. In addition to them, this special Mother’s Day event also includes Christina Aguillera, who also appeared in the first Disney Family Singalong, Tituss Burgess, Sabrina Carpenter, Lang Lang, and other “surprise” performers.

Ryan Seacrest is returning as host. The show will be opened by Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the Muppets. This will be quickly followed by a remote ensemble routine of the Hercules song Zero to Hero performed by Keke Palmer. Dancing With The Stars professional dancers Lindsay Arnold, Alan Bersten, Witney Carson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Jenna Johnson, Sasha Farber, and Emma Slater will be joining her.

According to ABC, the second “Disney Family Singalong” will feature “all-new star-studded performances, inventive at-home choreography, and even more Disney magic. The animated Mickey also returns to guide the on-screen lyrics, allowing audiences, families, roommates, and loved ones to follow along in perfect harmony with their favorite celebrities as they sing beloved Disney melodies.”

Disney Family Singalong 2 Lineup

The first Disney Family Singalong which aired on April 16 was a hit with more than 10 million viewers. The special created some major buzz with performances from Ariana Grande, Darren Criss, Derek Hough, Josh Groban, and the High School Musical cast remotely from their homes. It also featured a surprise performance from Beyonce.

“The Disney Family Singalong was a beautiful event that united millions of households across the country, filling our hearts with joy and song, and also providing much-needed nourishment to fill the bellies of our neighbors facing hunger,” Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America, said in a statement. “An incredible collaborator for nearly a decade, The Walt Disney Company has provided grant funding for network food banks, developed public service announcements, and mobilized the public to help provide the equivalent of almost 100 million meals to children and families. We cannot thank Disney enough for their enduring support.”

Perry, Legend, and Hudson are joining previously announced performers for the Disney Family Singalong 2 including Chloe x Halle, Billy Eichner, Hayley Erbert, Josh Gad, Donald Glover, Halsey, Derek Hough, Julianne Hough, Idina Menzel, Miguel, Ben Platt, Seth Rogen, Anika Noni Rose, Walter Russell III, Shakira, and Rebel Wilson. Viewers will also get to enjoy performances from Disney on Broadway stars Merle Dandridge, Heather Headley, Adam Jacobs, Caissie Levy, Kara Lindsay, Kevin Massey, and Josh Strickland.
