Jordan Peele's 'Twilight Zone' Reboot Adds 'Walking Dead' Alum Steven Yeun

Fresh off the success of his recent flick, Burning, Walking Dead alum Steven Yeun will join the cast of Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone reboot on CBS All Access (via TheWrap).

The network announced Peele’s Twilight Zone reboot in September, with the Academy Award-winning writer/director executive producing and filling in the role of Rod Serling as the narrator. Yeun, on the other hand, joins a handful of actors previously announced to star in episodes of the famous supernatural series. He will appear in an episode titled “The Traveler.”

Among the other cast members include John Cho, Allison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, and Kumail Nanjiani. The Twilight Zone reboot is slated for a 2019 debut and will be produced by the network, Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions banner, and Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films.

Serling created the iconic supernatural show in the late ’50s and went on to run for five years (a total of 80 episodes). It went on to become one of TV’s finest shows ever, with each episode delivering a shocking narrative. A reboot was also made in 1985 and ran for 110 episodes. The second one was spearheaded by Forest Whitaker in the early 200s and ran for 43 episodes.

Peele’s take on the anthology series comes after his Oscar success with Get Out, which was also similar to the vibe and premise of most Twilight Zone episodes.
