The Flash Season 4: Set Photos Reveal Wally West Wearing The Flash Costume

“The Flash” Season 4 production is underway with the season 4 premiere episode confirmed to be titled “The Flash Reborn.” Meanwhile, ongoing production reveals somebody else wearing The Flash costume. Yes, it’s not the star Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). Rather, it’s Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale). This doppelganger is up to save the world, proving that The Flash didn’t abandon the city unprotected. Despite Lonsdale himself saying he won’t become The Flash, the recently released photos prove otherwise.

After a tremendous earth shake and a multi-colored lightning storm hit Central City, humble hero Barry came up with a decision. Recognizing such calamity was brought about by an imbalance in Speed Force, our speedster flew away to Speed Force Heaven. So here we are, anticipating a fourth season beginning without its star. Does this mean an end to the hero’s career? We hope not. It’s only a matter of time until he comes back to Central City and proves he’s the real guardian angel.

Wally West as the New Flash?

Meanwhile, in the real world, we’ve just spotted another.. Flash? Yes. Recently West Allen just posted a photo of him wearing the Flash costume. How did this come to be?

Going back to Central City: Barry still in the Speed Force and all we got is Wally West. Just him. Just the Kid Flash. Since Barry’s not here (yet), maybe it’s time for giving Wally an upgrade. Sounds logical of a move for a good speedster who kept complaining about being Kid Flash. But apparently, this good speedster just won’t let Central City down.

But don’t worry Flash fandom, Barry Allen as The Flash is still the original hero that we’ve learned to love. The Wally West Flash, on the other hand, is a different man. Including his costume, too. To avoid any visual confusion the similar costumes might make, writer Ethan Van Sciver redesigned Wally’s version by giving a dark crimson and gold color scheme to the costume, as ScreenRant reports.  So in “The Flash” Season 4, there might be two Flashes, wearing two different costumes in two different persons.
